001 [video;]
[Good afternoon, Johto! There is a very confused looking man on the network today.]
Can I ask if anyone has seen a few different people around here? There names are Ichimi, Jiro, and Sante. They all wear numbered hoodies; you'd notice them. Oh, and there's Kaneki, too. He wears an eye patch so he'd stand out, too. There's also Hinami-chan. She's thirteen, so she shouldn't be out wandering by herself.
[But in the event that none of them are here...]
The name's Banjou. Banjou Kazuichi.
What is this place? Why was a strange woman telling me that she's my mother? Why was there a beaver inside a tiny ball?
[And this is where he rubs at his head, looking around for a moment before focusing back on the camera.]
Where's the music coming from?
...one more question. I'm just asking, but is it possible to wake up without bad injuries? I'm talking really bad here, like broken limbs or giant wounds. That kind of thing.

Well, I lost one of my legs, and that's still gone. It's long since healed and been replaced, though, so maybe that's it -- I don't think I've ever heard of someone showing up badly injured here.
no subject
That makes sense, if it's an old injury. What I was asking was more... what if it just happened?
But if no one's ever shown up injured maybe it's nothing to worry about.
no subject
Some people... They do come here after they've died. But they remember dying and I... I definitely wasn't dead, any of the times I was brought here.
no subject
[He's... well, he's not actually certain what happened to him back there. That's something to keep in mind.]
This doesn't look like any afterlife I've ever heard of.

As pleasant as always, Banjou-san! Really, if I didn't know any better I'd think you didn't like me anymore.
[...not like he's going to be anything but cloying in your general direction anyway, but then, what on god's green earth did you expect if not that.]
no subject
[Why does the one person he specifically didn't want to see have to be the person who answers him?]
Did you just get here too? I didn't see you in the town.
no subject
I've been here for about two weeks now, monsieur - it's been leaving me terribly discontent, but it seems we don't have any say in how or when we arrive, and even less say over when we leave.
no subject
[That doesn't make any sense. He just saw Tsukiyama. Banjou was right next to him when he approached Kaneki, and...]
Is Kaneki here? Is he alright?

[Someone's been watching the network lately and apparently it's the custom to just sort of...outright respond to something someone's said without any need for proper introductions or...whatnot.
And that's incredibly weird and hard to get used to but, well, if that's the custom then so be it, even if it nags a little and seems a touch rude to just...start remarking on things like that.
But speaking of remarking on things, there is something else that's remarkable about all this...]
But, um...if I might ask? Were you...injured, before this? If you're in need of a doctor there's a fine one in the next town over.
no subject
[He smiles for a moment before shifting the camera onto the Bidoof. That sure is a forty pound rodent. How did it fit into the Pokeball in the first place? How are people able to carry around so many of them at once?
It's a mystery!]
That's the weird part: I was injured. But I arrived here and it was like nothing had ever happened. I don't know what could have caused it.
[It had been a bad injury. Probably not fatal, but he doesn't know for certain.]
I guess it won't hurt to have the doc take a look at me when I get to Cherrygrove.

[...]
It's really not the sort of topic to dwell on in polite conversation, of course, but as it might bring you some comfort in the meantime, it seems that such a thing, while...strange, isn't so very out of the ordinary as this place is concerned. The seeing-to of injuries and such simply...happens, sometimes.
no subject
[Hopefully the doctors here won't have the ability to notice certain things that could get him in massive trouble.
Meanwhile, he's not entirely certain what to do with the very formal lady so he's going to hope that he doesn't accidentally offend her.]
No sense complaining about it if the injury is gone. I don't know what happened but at least I didn't make a mess of that lady's house when I woke up.

Oh. It's you.
[He sounds condescending as hell and even has the video set up at an angle so he's looking down on it. That part's probably not on purpose though.]
Well, I can say I certainly wasn't expecting to see you here. I can't answer your questions about your "mother", the beaver, or the music, but I can tell you that yes, apparently it is possible to wake up here without any injuries.
[He figured he had been asleep for long enough that his wounds had healed, but since he can't heal himself here...]
You just showed up here today?
no subject
As it is, he's still incredibly wary, but Naki isn't anywhere near him so Banjou doesn't have to worry about getting his ass kicked without warning. That's a huge plus, because he doesn't really want to have any repeats of the last thing he remembers back in Tokyo.]
I'm not sure if I should be relieved or not by that.
I did just arrive today. Still not sure where "here" is.
no subject
[He hesitates for a moment. It would be hilarious to watch Banjou die of starvation, but it certainly won't be very helpful. There's no sense in being nice to the guy who betrayed Aogiri, but this guy is one of the ones who was hanging out with Tsukiyama, and Naki is fond of Tsukiyama...
He finally shrugs and decides to go ahead and tell Banjou.]
By the way, you might want to get used to eating human food here. And don't get yourself injured, you won't be healing. You're human. Have fun with that.
no subject
You can't just drop a bombshell like that in his lap and expect him to believe it. He stares, mouth open for a moment, like he's not sure if Naki is joking or not. He doesn't know the man at all, has probably spent at most five minutes in his presence, and honestly Naki has every reason to lie to Banjou about the situation.
He, therefore, is silent for a long time, his expression moving between disbelief, annoyance, and fear very rapidly.]
What do you mean?

Can't say I've ever met people like that around here. ...But there is Team Rocket and they're nothin' but trouble. ...You're not tryin' to join up with 'em are ya?
[-- oh and this guy introduced himself. Kazuichi, huh?] I'm Rin Okumura, by the way.
no subject
Team Rocket? [What kind of name for an organization is that?] No, I'm not looking to join up with anyone. I'm looking for my friends.
Nice to meet you, Okumura-san.
no subject
Good meetin' you too, Kazuichi-san! [ONLY BECAUSE BANJOU CALLED HIM "OKUMURA-SAN" AND NO ONE REALLY CALLS HIM THAT]
If I ever do see your friends, I'll let 'em know you're lookin' for them. [It honestly won't be that hard to find a guy wearing an eye patch]
no subject
[He's a little out of his element, here. He'd go with Okumura normally, but he's trying to be a little more formal than he would otherwise be to get information about this place.]
They should all stand out if they're here.
[...at least he's aware that everyone he knows dresses oddly.]
