[ It's been a few days since Chie moved into the house, and she quite frankly doesn't the need to inform poor Banjou over there that she isn't a ghoul; she's waiting for him to figure it out on his own because hey, why the hell not and Tsukiyama did pretty much give her the go-ahead to fuck with him.

She's been spending a lot of her time out exploring and taking pictures, but today she's still in the house around lunchtime and Banjou can find her in the living room. It seems that she's checking to see how many Zigzagoons can fit on the couch at the same time. :|a ]

[irenicly]

[It's fortunate that Banjou doesn't seem particularly worried about Chie. He's seen enough of the company that Tsukiyama usually keeps to know that if something was going to happen, it would have happened by now.

When he leaves his room to make lunch for himself, he pauses at the sight in the living room.]

Hori...san?

[Dear god that is a lot of Zigzagoons.]

[ ...Yes, that sure is a lot of 'em. It seems like all ten of them can be on the couch, if they don't mind it being somewhat cramped. Chie's in the middle of shoving the last one onto the couch when she hears Banjou's voice and pauses to look at him. ]

Hi, Banjoi-kun.

[irenicly]

[Banjou doesn't look bothered, just faintly confused.]

What are you doing?

[And why does she have ten of those things anyway?]

Checking if all of them can be on the couch at the same time.

[ She says this as if it's a completely normal thing to do. Then her stomach makes a loud noise that sounds like a dying whale. ]

[irenicly]

[Well, he can see that. He's about to ask why, but Chie's stomach growling distracts him.]

Are you hungry, Hori-san?

[shuttermouse]

[ She nods in response as she gives one of the Zigzagoons a pat on the head. Meanwhile, the rest of the brigade seem to have decided that they would rather not be on the couch any more and they jump down on the floor. ]

...Yup. [ Really hungry, actually, it just didn't occur to her until now. ] I should go eat lunch somewhere.

[irenicly]

[...those poor Zigzagoons.

At least Pokemon are hardy.]

How many restaurants do you know about here? I've lived in Goldenrod for a while, so I know the area pretty well. I could recommend a few places for you.

Um, just a few. What do you recommend, Banjoi-kun? [ She could ask Tsukiyama but she doesn't feel like pestering him right now. :|a ]

[One of these days, he'll get annoyed enough to tell her to stop calling him that. Today is not that day.]

There's a pizza place not too far away I've been to a few times, we could go there.

[Banjou's a heathen who probably just put vegetables on his pizza.]

[ She takes a moment to consider it before she nods. It's been a while since she last ate a pizza, come to think of it. ]

...I'd like that. Let's go, Banjoi-kun.

[irenicly]

[That reaction was faster than he'd been anticipating, but Banjou smiles like he doesn't really mind. She's probably been here long enough to try pizza, right?]

Okay. Follow me.

[So off he goes!]

[ And she tags along! ]

...I wonder if Tsukiyama-kun has eaten pizza yet, or if he's too picky to even consider it.

[Banjou glances at her.]

That's a good question. I'm not actually sure.

The place I'm thinking of has all kinds of toppings. The only one I haven't tried yet is anchovies. I'm... not sure I'll ever try that one; I don't like the taste of fish.

What are your favourite pizza toppings? [ ...Please don't be a heathen, Banjou. ]

[irenicly]

[He starts to tick them off on his fingers.]

Mushrooms, green peppers, red onions, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers are pretty good, too..., olives...

I like pepperoni, too, but not as much.

Those are pretty good. But I prefer pineapple and ham.

[ ... ]

Do they have mochi pizza?

[ It's an actual thing that exists. :|a ]

[He looks thoughtful for a moment.]

Uh, I think so. I don't think I've tried it before, though.

I don't think I have, either. But I kinda want to try it at least once...

[ Hey, isn't that a pizza place over there, across the street? Let's go there, Banjou. ]

[irenicly]

[But-- but he hasn't been there before!

Still, Banjou follows. He's a doormat easygoing enough to just go along with whatever.]

I haven't had mochi a lot, but I do like the texture.

[Of course, he'd never had mochi before coming to Johto, but Chie knows that.]

[ Sorry, Banjou. :c At least this particular restaurant seems nice? The interior is decorated in warm hues with old but sturdy wooden furniture and they're greeted cheerfully by the staff when they enter. ]

Daifuku's pretty good... But I like sakuramochi, too.

[irenicly]

[He's really not used to discussing human food. He gives a curious look.]

Those are both sweets, aren't they? You might be able to find them in one of the sweets shops in the city.

Yeah. Maybe I'll go buy some later.

[ She's sort of in the mood for mochi now that it came up. :|a Chie looks around for a few seconds before deciding to take a seat at a circular wooden table for two located near the window, and her fingers subconsciously move to touch her camera. This conversation has started to make her wonder if Banjou's going to realize that something is off soon, and she's told Tsukiyama she wanted to take a picture of him when he realizes she isn't a ghoul. So if it happens soon she's ready. ]

[irenicly]

[It occurs to him that she's taking this all in stride. Banjou isn't a very smart man, but if you beat him over the head with something, he will eventually notice it.

Is Chie a human? That... makes her friendship with Tsukiyama all the more perplexing. He stares at her for a very long, bewildered minute.]

[ Could this be the moment she's been waiting for? Chie stares back at him for a moment, then raises her camera to her face and presses the button. Click. ]
