For myself?

I do think I might try to get the first badge, at least, but I'm not sure yet if trying to collect them all is going to be for me...what I really want to do is try and read all of the different books this place has. They're all so different from the versions back home.

You know, getting badges here might not be so bad. It sounds like something people do all the time here.

As for the books, I've found a few that aren't so bad. It would be better if they didn't have so many puns.

[But then again Banjou barely has a sense of humor.]

I know what you mean. Just the titles of most of the books here are Pokemon puns to begin with.

[At least with books like The Metamorphosis they couldn't quite get away with that.]

Do you think you'll try to get all of the badges?

I'm thinking about it. It'd be worth doing.

I'd actually be able to get HMs instead of borrowing them.

That makes sense. Fly and Surf would be especially useful to have, even if you don't plan on traveling much any time soon.

That's the goal, anyway.

If nothing else, it'll make traveling the routes easier.

On the other hand...people have told me it really isn't that bad, but the thought of flying on a Pokemon makes me a little...nervous. What if something happened and you fell off?

[It's not really like riding something on the ground, after all...not that he thinks any Pokemon of his would let him get hurt. He just can't help it.]

I'd be worried if it was something like a real animal, but Pokemon are aware, right? You can talk to them.

I'm sure they're careful, nothing would happen to a rider. If it happened at all, we'd be hearing about it.

I guess that's true...not as many people would fly on Pokemon if it was dangerous. It just seems strange...not like most things here aren't strange already.

This is a very strange place, I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it.

But I don't think flying on a Pokemon would be dangerous at all.

Well, if I can get the badge that will let me, I'll have to fly on my Pidgeot and tell you how it goes.

Since I'm a breeder, I don't need to get a badge to use an HM.

I'll do that. We've been in Violet for a while now, so we'll probably continue on to a different town soon.

It sounds like you've been having fun, even with your strange encounters with Pokemon.

I have been! I'm really glad I decided to come traveling after all...Goldenrod is nice, but after you've been there for a few months, there's only so much left to see.

I've been here so long, I should go exploring myself.

It couldn't hurt. Do you think you would stay in Johto, or try visiting Kanto?

I'll probably stay in Johto.

Either way, though, I think I'll have a fun time; I haven't caught any new Pokemon in a long time, so all of the ones I have are high level.

How high are they? My highest are at 80, now...but I've been busy training my others, so they haven't gotten further than that.
