[Well as long as someone got it to him, it's fine. He probably would have discovered that something was terribly wrong before too long anyway and be forced to ask. He's not about to question the logic though, since he's just happy to be human again.]
I can imagine. It is good to hear you are adjusting to it, though.
But I wanted to ask...where exactly are you staying right now?
[Unfortunately, the thought of Banjou living anywhere near Tsukiyama hasn't even crossed Kaneki's mind, which is why he asks next-]
Would it be alright if I came to see you, sometime?
[It's been getting a bit hard to stay alone for such a long time in his hotel room, and while getting outside does help...even though he knows Banjou about as well as the people he's met here, the feeling there is different, somehow. He can't really explain it.]
[He doesn't want to turn Kaneki down, but explaining that he's living with Tsukiyama and a young woman would be complicated, especially because at this point he honestly doesn't know why he's living with the Gourmet at all.]
Would you like to meet for coffee? That would be better than at the house, I think.
[It's more just seeing him that Kaneki wants than actually going to his place, so at least he doesn't seem interested in finding out why meeting elsewhere would be preferred.]
I would like that. There are so many cafes here, I honestly don't know where to go...but I'm sure any of them would work fine.
[And so later comes, and Kaneki sends Banjou another brief text to let him know he's heading out before actually doing so. It isn't snowing or anything at least, but it is 27 degrees out. Thankfully Kaneki wound up with a coat being a part of his spare outfit, but it's a bit small on him...being intended for someone who is ten, and all. As such it fits him alright until you get to the sleeves, which barely make it to his elbows and don't go any farther than that.
So when Banjou arrives at the Center he'll see Kaneki standing on the edge of the sidewalk with his hands gripping his forearms and rubbing them lightly in an attempt to keep them warm with a Zangoose perched on his shoulder. Her bushy tail acts as a sort of scarf draped around his shoulders, so there's that at least.]
[He's still not entirely sure what to expect. All of this is awkward, especially because from Kaneki's perspective, they've met a grand total of once, and that had been when Banjou had jealously lashed out at Kaneki for smelling like Rize.
...it's more than a little awkward, but at least it's not a huge disaster. If it was, he wouldn't want this. He's hesitant, but willing to come out here even if he looks awkward as hell. And he stands out, because he's a six-foot something tank who looks like he's not sure if he should be in public or not.]
[There's no way this couldn't be awkward, but he's not sure how much longer he could have gone without at least seeing someone familiar. Banjou was just slightly less of a stranger than everyone else, but that was good enough for him.
The strangest thing about Kaneki right now might actually be the fact that he isn't wearing his eyepatch. Assuming that he's really human again...it's enough to make him feel comfortable enough to go without it.]
Hello, Banjou-san.
[He pauses, lifting a hand to push Rikki's tail away from his face a bit.]
[It's his time he's spent in Johto that means Banjou doesn't mind going places he hasn't frequented. He's gotten braver in a good way-- less rushing off into situations that might get him killed or severely injured and more being able to stand up and do things for himself without worry of how other people might react.
He smiles politely at Kaneki, straightening out the scarf around his neck.]
I think you'll enjoy this cafe. I like it. They serve good cakes here.
[...oh no Banjou don't say that, Kaneki will want so much cake.
He nods a little before following him in, gesturing for Rikki to hop down from his shoulder for the time being. They may not like Pokemon being near the tables, he actually doesn't know. After a moment or reluctance she jumps down, staying near him though as he goes in.]
[It doesn't look like Pokemon aren't allowed in the cafe, thankfully, as there are others about-- it's not a very fancy looking place, because Banjou wouldn't ever enter a fancy restaurant on his own.
He looks a little awkward still, but that's more because he's a giant man sitting in a tiny little cafe than him being worried about having coffee with Kaneki.]
We never had a chance to do anything like this in Tokyo.
[For... obvious reasons, but ghouls like Banjou like to pretend sometimes.]
[Kaneki nods as he takes a seat across from Banjou, shifting his feet as he feels the Zangoose curl up beside his ankles.]
Yeah. It's nice, isn't it?
[Before everything with Rize, it was something Kaneki and Hide wondered about even while they spent time together at various coffee shops. How often did ghouls do things like humans? More often than they realized, that was for sure.
He pauses, his expression shifting a bit as he laughs under his breath.]
...when we aren't, uh...street performing, that is.
Shit, I completely forgot to warn you about that guy, didn't I? ...sorry about that.
[He'd been pretty vague about just what street preforming entailed, but apparently Rin had seen the very public conversation Banjou had had with Kaneki, whoops.]
I guess you don't breakdance in your spare time, huh?
[Oh god it's a joke coming from Banjou. We really are farm removed from our original situation.]
[The thought is so ridiculous that it has Kaneki smiling too, so much that he's eventually prompted to lift a hand to rest against the side of his face.]
I didn't know you played guitar, though. Are you good at it?
[It's still a little strange to think about, ghouls having hobbies just like anyone else. But then again, given how Banjou is more peaceful than most, it's a bit easier for him to see.
[Thankfully, pacifist ghouls have peaceful hobbies unlike the more violent ones like Tsukiyama and Rize. Banjou's aware that it makes him a little easier to relate to, but truthfully he doesn't have much opportunity to talk about music, especially because he wasn't taught traditionally.]
Nothing in particular, truthfully. Sometimes I can do a reasonable job mimicking things that the radio plays, but usually I make up the song as I go along.
I used to play it from time to time while I was with Aogiri.

I'm renting a place here in Goldenrod.
[Okay, he's not renting shit, but the idea of all three of them in the house together is probably not an option right now.]

There's a little place called Oshawott's I've been to before. We could go there.

Thank you for meeting me like this.

[Correction: he would be downright horrible, that's what he would be. And plus one or more broken bones.]
It's okay, though. I didn't tell him any different...so I hope he isn't looking for a show or something any time soon.

[He's nowhere near professional, but he's on the higher end of amateur, at least.
...and Tsukiyama plays the piano. Though he won't be sharing that tidbit, at least not until things settle down a little more.]
Well, if we really want to do the street preforming thing we could have you read some sort of pretentious poetry.
[It's... still said in the same way Banjou says anything else, but he's smiling so obviously he's not being serious.]

I think I'm okay. I've had time to practice it here more than I did in Tokyo. I'll play for you, if you'd like.

It's good that you have more time to practice here, too.
